FRIDAY MAY 10th: It’s Second Friday at Brazee Street Studios, from 6-9pm. I will not be showing BUT please come and support all the local talent we have there! I will be showing at the next one, hopefully with the Grand Opening of Dogwood Art Studios! I’ll keep you posted!

SATURDAY MAY 11th: The Mt. Adams Art Walk from 2-7pm. I’ll be at the Grotto, which is a wine bar.. so come have a glass with me!

SUNDAY MAY 12th: My birthday! (and Mother’s Day of course!)

SATURDAY MAY 18th: The GO OTR Summer Celebration and Art Show in Washington Park from 10am-4pm. I don’t have many details on this yet, but I will update as soon as I do.

Let me tell you a little bit about Dogwood Art Studios, from the About section on the Facebook page:

Dogwood Art Studios is opening its doors to help keep art alive in the community! 

What makes us different? We offer full art instruction to help grow students’ skill and knowledge of art. Whether it be watercolors, charcoal drawings or oil paintings, we aim to turn a hobby into a passion, a doodle into a masterpiece, or a curiosity into a skill. 

We also offer wine and painting events for a fun lighthearted experience too! You will be able to create fun works of art with the guidance of an artist. 

Dogwood Art Studios aims to be a place to turn when art education is not easily available or when someone is looking to try something new!

All ages welcome!

Here’s some of what Dogwood Art Studios has to offer:
• Wine and painting parties for groups
• One on one drawing or painting lessons (beginner to advanced)
• Group drawing and painting lessons (beginner to advanced)
• Earning the Artist Badge for your Boy Scout or Girl Scout Troops
• “Open-studio” time for when you need a place to create (coming soon!)

This will be a slow start-up for now. But you guys get to come with me on the ride! The Facebook page for Dogwood will be regularly updated with the progress of getting the studio ready for the opening day! Head on over and “LIKE” the page so you’re in the loop!
